What does the word “ friend” mean to you?

Let me offer a few options.

- To have fun

- Kill time/boredom

- Your identity

- Show others you are not lonely

- Make you feel you are important

- Your beck and call

- Someone who loves you for who you are

- Someone you love, willing to pay any price

Take a look at what ice age suggests.

Regardless of their differences, a herd that embraces each other so readily. "Two are better than one …."

When one of them was in imminent danger, the rest were ready to lay down their lives to save him. "For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.."

They loved each other, protected one another. "If two lie down together, they will keep warm.."

Safety came second to saving their friend. "Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. "

Through thick and thin, they were there for each other. "And a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

That’s exactly my prayer when I step into the next phase of my life. A tightly knitted group of godly friends, different as we may be, but people with one heart; wanting only the best for each other; having God as our focal point.Therefore, let's choose our friends carefully, and when we find them, love them as we love ourselves. (:
